The diesel generating set must be operated by the personnel who are familiar with the structure of the unit and mastering the safety operation regulations. The new or newly overhauled diesel engine units should run in 50 hours in accordance with the regulations and do the necessary maintenance.
For new or long term generators, they must undergo strict inspection before they are put into normal operation. The insulation condition and wiring condition of windings must be checked. If there is any discrepancy, it is necessary to deal with them.
The diesel engine should increase the speed slowly after starting, and the low speed to rated speed can be carried out on the premise that all is well. When running in no-load, the stress of the oil is checked emphatically, there is no difference, the excitation current, the change of the three-phase voltage and so on. If there are abnormal conditions, it should be checked immediately. After finding out the situation, start again. If everything is normal, it can be put into normal operation. The operator should closely monitor the change of the instrument on the control screen, whether it is in the license range, and make the corresponding adjustment.
In operation, the operator should keep a safe distance from the charged equipment and wear a good labor protection equipment. The switching operation should be paid attention to the sequence, such as the power outage should break off each branch switch first, then break the total switch again, and then switch the position of the quadrupole double cast knife. When the power is sent, the order is reversed. The normal shutdown should first unload part of the load, then break the total switch, finally turn off the diesel engine, do not break the total switch, with the diesel engine out of the power to stop. After shutdown, routine inspection of the unit and records of operation (work diary) are recorded.
In case of an electric shock, the power switch should be cut off quickly, or the power is quickly disconnected or separated from the power supply with an insulating device. Then take the rescue, and ask the doctor to come to the rescue. In case of a flood of electrical equipment, the power supply should be cut off immediately, and the local power supply station is reported, and then the fire can be saved. The fire extinguisher, carbon dioxide extinguisher and so on should be used to save fire for the charged equipment, and no water should be used.
