Xinhua(Xinhua)-Zhaoxu, India's trade minister, said in New Delhi yesterday that protectionist policies and unilateral measures taken by some countries have had a negative impact on global free trade and should be taken accordingly.
At the international dialogue on South-South cooperation held in New Delhi on the 22nd, Goyal said that the protectionist policies pursued by some developed countries are affecting trade and investment in goods and services between countries. All World Trade Organization members should work together to promote WTO reform to ensure that free trade was rule-based, transparent and conducted in an honest and non-discriminatory manner.
Goyar also said that the world's 7 billion people are seeking sustainable development and look forward to a better life. India is also accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals and hopes that such development will benefit other countries.
