Bayu also said the government will speed up the formulation of the 2020 fiscal budget, improve the efficiency of fiscal spending, and vigorously develop tourism to stimulate economic growth.
In order to enhance Thailand's international competitiveness, the government will focus on developing a green economy and increasing the training of talents, he said. Thailand's exports totalled $113 billion in the first half of the year, down 2.91 % from a year earlier, according to the ministry of commerce. Thai exports fell for the fourth consecutive month in June, driven by the global economic slowdown and economic and trade friction between the two countries, business officials said.
